Terms, Safety & Policies

Everything you need to know about renting with Westlake E-Bikes, including the platform terms, your rights, and our local rules.

RideNet Platform

Westlake E-Bikes operates on the RideNet platform. All rentals, bookings, and rider accounts are governed by the RideNet legal documents listed below.

RideNet Legal Documents

These documents apply to every rental made through the RideNet platform, including rentals from Westlake E-Bikes.

Westlake E-Bikes — Additional Fleet Rules

In addition to the RideNet documents linked above, the following rules apply to all rentals from Westlake E-Bikes.

Operating Area

Bikes must remain within Prince Edward County during your rental period. Leaving the county boundaries may result in additional fees and voids the liability waiver for any incidents that occur outside the operating area.

Trail & Road Guidelines

E-bikes are welcome on paved roads and the Millennium Trail. Provincial park trails and private vineyard paths are off-limits unless explicitly marked as e-bike friendly. Always yield to pedestrians and follow posted signage.

Seasonal Hours & Weather

Rental availability is seasonal (typically May through October). During active rentals, bikes should be returned before dusk unless equipped with lights. Rentals may be suspended or rescheduled during severe weather at our discretion with a full refund or rebooking offered.

Alcohol & Winery Stops

Prince Edward County is wine country and we encourage you to enjoy it responsibly. Ontario law prohibits operating any vehicle, including e-bikes, while impaired. Riders who appear intoxicated may have their rental ended early without refund.

Parking & Locking

Always use the integrated smart lock when leaving the bike unattended, even briefly. Park in designated bike areas or secure public racks. Do not block sidewalks, doorways, or accessibility ramps.
