An e-bike is an electrically assisted bike. Our e-bikes have all of the typical features you would expect from a regular bike, with the addition of a battery that provides you with adjustable levels of assistance while peddling. This takes some of the work off of your hands (or legs, rather), allowing you to go further, faster. Bonus points for less sweating, too!

Infants, small children, and dogs can come along on your adventure via appropriate carriers that you provide and use at your own risk and discretion. If you are looking for additional options within Prince Edward County, shoot us a line.

We look forward to providing more options for your youngins in the future!

Kind of… Feel free to turn off the electric pedal assistance on your e-bike if you’d prefer to feel the burn! No really, if you prefer more of a workout, the pedal assistance can be lowered or turned off all together allowing it to operate just like a regular (albeit, slightly heavier) bike.

Otherwise, technically no–all of our available bikes are electric.

Perhaps. This service is offered on a case-by-case basis. To see if we can lend a hand, contact us.

While the inventor of the first bicycle is not definitively established, Kirkpatrick Macmillan is generally credited with developing the pedal-driven bicycle. This bicycle lacked a transmission to help adjust the peddling speed to a faster wheel speed. Thus, the bikes were peddled as a direct drive. If the wheels of these early bicycles were as large as those commonly used today, riders would have had to pedal at uncomfortably high revolutions per minute (RPM) for comfortable riding!
